AQUAOP was set up as an operational joint venture between Aqua Technology Transfer WLL and Oman Petro Environmental Services Company (OP) LLC during 2023. After more than 15 years of presence in Oman, and having delivered several successful projects in Oman, the UAE, and Qatar, OP, a 100% Omani-owned company, entered the Bahraini market with the backing of the strong presence and capabilities of AQUA-TT.

The local partner in the joint venture, AQUA-TT, is a 100% Bahraini-owned and based company specializing in integrated environmental services covering water and wastewater treatment, hazardous waste handling, as well as comprehensive operations and maintenance services. Established in 2012, the company provides specialized services in the field of water project management, operations, and maintenance, and offers specialized manpower and water treatment equipment. AQUA-TT has delivered numerous successful projects to the Bahraini government and major industry customers in Bahrain. The company employs over 200 personnel and maintains a large stockpile of plant equipment and vehicles.

The technical partner in the joint venture, OP (formerly known as OP), is OP is a 100% Omani-owned, and based company. The company specializes in oil spill response and environmental consultancy services, boasting a management team comprising both national and international experts, as well as the largest team of in-country response personnel, with the highest nationalization percentage in its field in Oman. OP has rapidly established itself as a renowned provider of cost-effective emergency response and environmental protection solutions in the GCC region.

After more than 15 years of presence in the Oman, and after delivering several successful projects in Oman, UAE and Qatar, OP entered the Bahraini market with the backing of the strong presence and capabilities of AQUA-TT.
